Q If the secondary circuit of a transformer is open the current in the primary is very small. Why is this, ..............
A With the open circuit for the secondary, the back e.m.f. in the primary is almost the same as the applied potential difference, thus the net e.m.f. causing the current through the primary resistance is very low. .....*

Advanced Physics for Hong Kong, Tom Duncan, 3rd Ed., V1, P.284 有以下一段文字:

Consider initially a mains transformer whose primary winding has a resistance of 10 ohm; on a 240 V supply the primary current should therefore be 240/10 = 24 A. An a.c. ammeter connected in the primary records 0.10 A. The difference is very large and is due to the fact that the alternating flux (arising from the a.c. in the primary), which induces an e.m.f. in the secondary, also induces an e.m.f. called a back e.m.f. in the primary. This e.m.f. opposes the applied p.d. and is nearly but not quite equal to it at every instant. The net e.m.f. in the primary is therefore quite small.

1996 年香港高考物理卷二甲部第 27 題(只述其意)

當把副線圈 (secondary coil) 的開關接通的一剎那後 (at the moment when the switch S is closed),甚麼事會發生?供考慮的其中一項是鐵芯的磁通量 (magnetic flux) 減小。考評局答案說這一項正確。

一學生問:「副線圈電流出現應該只是減小磁通量的改變率(rate of change),而不是磁通量的值。假設當時磁通量是退減著,像一磁棒離開一線圈,感生電流在線圈所製造的磁場應該和磁棒的磁場方向相同,才可令磁通量的退縮減小。那時感生電流令線圈的磁場增大才對!」

(i) 變壓器公式

中的 Vp 和 Vs 是瞬時值。 那是否意味 Vp 和 Vs 常保持同相 (in phase) 的關係?若是,如何接駁輸入和輸出端才是in-phase?

(ii) 變壓器的輸入(原線圈) 和輸出(副線圈) 兩邊如何用Kirchhoff's second law寫出電壓、電流和內阻的關係?
